Pre-Employment Training

Yes! More assistance to get you into a transportation-sector job. We’re in the process of developing a program that will identify and provide financial support for pre-employment training opportunities that encourage career placement in the transportation industry, such as construction skills. For individuals with limited or even no experience, these trainings will provide actionable skills to help increase their employment opportunities in the construction industry. Priority will be given to residents in the impacted communities of Ferndale, Highland Terrace, Joppa Way, Liberty Park, and Russelldale.

Small Business Development Program

We know success isn’t just about today, but about building future opportunities for your children and their children. That’s why we want to support entrepreneurship. Our plan is to partner with organizations and disadvantaged businesses in the state to provide an educational program that empowers residents to start small businesses or expand their existing businesses. These classes will be held at the Community Office and are tentatively scheduled to be trained in early 2025. Do you know of a good organization for us to partner with? Let us know! Additionally, information sessions will be held about opportunities for disadvantaged business enterprises to work on the I-526 LCC projects.
